This thing's starting to get spider webs...

A brief explanation for the following images:

The first 7 weeks of my BFA year have been concentrated on making small test sculptures that embody my processes and materials of making. These are the small sculptures located at the bottom (the hanging toy-like thing, the wood box filled with bows on the purple stand, the black board with the ball of hair). The large sculpture that is directly below this text is a final iteration of an architectural project for the advanced sculpture class I'm in. It sort of combines a lot of the things I've been working on for the past month and a half. It's made of concrete, wood, fabric, foam, ribbon and that mysterious teal object on the wall.

A House is Not a Home Without a Dress

My final project for spring term was an exploration into the collision and co-existence of the garmet and the domestic sphere. For about four weeks, I manipulated Goodwill clothing and found household objects while creating new forms from raw bolts of fabric and staples like wood and foam. The final iteration of my process was these four objects: each is meant to be part of the series, but each one also stands alone in evoking a specific place, moment or object.

New Stuff

It's been a while...Here are some photos of a sculpture I made recently. I think I'll be able to post some more photos later, but I'm headed to Regionals this afternoon to secure Fugue a spot at nationals!
